As anybody ever been to this area of NY state? I never been there myself until this weekend. I was in Narrowsburg driving to Port Jervis .The location is also known for its winding roads and scenic overlooks in the Delaware River valley. The views and scenery and pretty amazing. It is a part of "Upper Delaware Scenic Byway" which is NY route 97. So, if anyone is into kayaking or white water rafting, this would be an excellent place. I'm wondering if Dan has ever been there.

I ain't Dan, but I've been often and just the other day. The next time I wind down and up the road, I'll probably stop and take pictures--possibly tomorrow as Port Jervis is on my schedule.

That will be cool. The views are breathtaking. I also hear that BMW, Honda and other car makers film commercials there.

I'm too new to this region to know much, but I look at a great many things, and this particular road, I was told, is about the best view in the region.

We drove down 97 from Barryville to Port Jervis on Sunday afternoon....the view is just awesome. We wanted to see how the river was with all of the rain and melting that we've had over the past week or two.

If the weather holds true, I'll go down tomorrow and try to take some photos and of course, share!

I did a photo tour of this area in the areas of Narrowsburg, NY and Callicoon, NY in 2007---nobody looked at it though, so I just kind of took it as a "hint" that people would rather see me photograph larger communities, which is why you can expect to see more of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre as early as April. The scenery there and then westward into Northern Wayne County in the Damascus area is breathtaking.

A few weeks ago we were driving around from Honesdale to Gallilee. The snow had fallen again the day before and wow ; thats all i can say. It was just beautiful. The deer were running thru the snow, across the creeks that were just melting. It was like a postcard.

Cant wait until we can take more drives up that part.
