Can anyone tell me which are the better HOA active adult communities near the Milford area?

I would also be interested in the response to the OP question. To my knowledge, there are not many 55 & over communities in NEPA. We have visited River's Edge in Matamoras. Very, very nice if you want a town home. No individual housing units.
Amenities include clubhouse, pool, access to river, garbage service, landscaping and snow removal.

How about just some better HOA communities in the same area that offer year round living?

I'm looking to retire, and am a leg amputee.

I found this website that offers a map search of 55 & over communities. There are others like it if you do a google search.
Retirement Communities in the U.S. by areas

Maybe this will help.

What price range are you in? It's not a retirement community, but I've found that you get a lot for your money at Saw Creek, about midway between Milford and Stroudsburg.

I"m maxed out at 125K. That's to include all fees (banks, attorney's, HOA's, inspectors, etc.) to be able to move in.

I'm also not a big fan of people snooping in my business. That makes me think that I'm better off on MY own private property. Nothing illegal mind you, but if I want to set up my archery target at 25 yards and it is safe to do so, I don't want somebody telling me "you can't do that!", it's written in the by-laws.
