Well, I suppose in the era of internet banking and taking photos of checks to deposit them, we no longer need the convenience of having a bank in the supermarket where you could do banking on Saturday & Sunday.

The remaining 3 branches will close by the end of the year. I wonder if they will extend the hours of the traditional branches to compensate? The branch outside the Tannersville Weis is open until 4PM on Saturday (not sure about Sunday).

It was plain stupid to build the branch outside of Weis. The grocery store location was more convenient. I never see the customers to justify the expense of their new building on Route 611. I always liked the location inside the grocery store because it was open when many of the other banks were closed.

It wasn't too long before that they built the new main office off Ann Street in Stroudsburg. My feeling was that they overextended themselves on unnecessary new buildings.
