What's the cheapest way to get wireless internet and basic cable? How much is it? We are going to be there for 2 mo in the summer and would temporarily like the service. How much is it?

Apparently Blue Ridge Cable is running a special on the internet called websurfer for $14.95/mo and you don't need a phone line. Basic cable is about $17/mo. Not too bad!

I think the $17/month is for just bare bones basic cable...meaning about 12 channels or so. Regular basic cable looks like its in the $60 range.

For temporary, $17 a month isn't too bad. Especially if it's just two months in the summer, when the TV lineup is crap anyway.

Same here nkotb...no cable lines...no dsl on the phone lines because they are too old...i could do dial up but i use high speed for work so i have a satellite...connection is better than dial up but not as good as dsl/cable and it's a ton of money. i love living in the land of no tv though. if i need news or a video i just go to the computer.
