Hi there

I know a few posts back there was a question about good/decent furniture stores in the Lake Ariel area.

Cant seem to find the post ; can anyone refresh my memory. We just need beds really ; bunk beds and a comfy one for us old people(not really old, just feeling it.)

Thanks in advance.

dorothy

Van Gorders near Lake Wallenpaupack seems to have nice stuff. Not sure about prices though. Gonna have to venture in there one day and wander around.

Had very good experience with C&O Furniture in Eynon. People were very nice to deal with. While we purchased several rooms worth of furniture, the prices were very reasonable and the mattresses were of good quality (King Koil, I believe). The owner said they were made locally, hence the good prices.

We've had good experiences with C&O in Enyon, as well as Blums in Honesdale (near the Walmart on rte 6). Van Gorders in Honesdale seemed a little more expensive than the other stores I mentioned.

Just FYI about Van Gorder's...it seems to me that the prices at their location in downtown Honesdale are much better than the place by the Lake. It is a little bigger too.

I recently purchased some bedroom furniture for my girls from Raymour and Flanigan. We were happy with the service and quality of the furniture. They also worked with us when our move fell through in December and held the furniture until we sold our house the second time.

Last weekend we purchased a kitchen set and hutch from Van Gorders. While we were happy with the service and selection we did not get the furniture yet so hopefully the delivery service will be just as good.

The furniture store that's in Mt. Cobb is called Butler's Furniture. Haven't ventured in yet, but heard from others it's a fine store.

It's right off I-84. Simply get off the exit and head towards the light. Make a right, and the store's right there on your left.
