Zero New Cases in Monroe.https://www.wnep.com/article/news/lo...f-7df98d842151

Masks and Social Distancing cannot be the "New Normal", especially for young people who want to meet new members of the opposite sex and have romantic encounters.

So how long do we need zero new cases before we go Green? Besides getting my hair cut which is now in my eyes, I want to go out to a nice restaurant with my husband. Our 46th Anniversary is in August. Will we be able to go out then???? Can we give each other a kiss and hug in public?

In the last 14 days we had 38 cases. Hopefully we will have many more days of no cases or just one or two. Yesterday we had three. But now we will have to start worrying about the rioting. It seems it is starting in every major city. If it is now one problem; it is another.

I have been using this site since the beginning: https://www.mcall.com/coronavirus/mc...htmlstory.html. While it does not tell us exactly when we are going to go green. From all the maps you can see our trend.

Don't forget that we are not alone in this; we were 'grouped' together with the other counties in the Northeastern section of our State. Because of that we are still 'yellow' with 72 cases in the last 14 days. I am sure that there are many of the large corporations (casino, race track, water parks) that are trying to get enough political pressure to open sooner. Of course now many are going to keep their eyes on the rioting and whether or not government can again function?

Ever go shopping in Mt. Pocono? Many black people probably live in PCP, but that is across Coolbaugh line in Tobyhanna. I see black people all the time around here.

Right now there are many that are unhappy with the forced closings and many jobs could be lost forever. Plus we have no real news stations and we lack a unified leadership plan to get us back to work. Plus we need the tools to put this mess all behind us like a good vaccine.

While race could be a spark I feel that there are many underlining issues that have to be addressed. Could rioting come to our little corner of the world? It all depends on how the issues are treated in our cities.

Yes and No. There weren't protests before? What happened when Beaches were opened? No violent instances just with private citizens not wearing masks being attacked out in public? There is a lot of anger issues simply with forced lockdowns. Suicides, domestic violence have increased. You add racial issues with all of these other psychological issues, it was a powder keg waiting to happen.

Sorry, but no vaccine is the magic solution. Just look at recent polls on that, including right here on CD. Only about 50% of the public will even take it IF one becomes available anytime soon. IF it is effective. IF it can be mandated for every man, woman, and child in the US. Far too many IF's. So keep the Country still in lockdown mode until the virus is totally eliminated (zero cases) from society? Sorry, but I for one do not think that is going to happen. I myself will not take it, and am sick and tired of being forced to not live my elderly life the way I want to for how many years I have remaining on this earth.

I was sick and tired for about six weeks. I was sick and tired enough that my GERD kicked up to a gastritis-like disorder. Since I wasn't putting enough food in my stomach, I started digesting myself.

I'm doing better, but still not well.

We just got a notification from our local VFW that they have been given the go ahead to reopen this Friday. Members Only showing ID. Masks and Social Distancing except for those living together. Again, though, people are going to have to take off a mask to eat and drink. Assistant Commander is our neighbor so will give him a call for more details.

Is this only for private clubs, or does it mean all bars and restaurant will be reopened Friday in Monroe? That would be wonderful news.
