Why are there no gun ranges near Hazleton?

On Yelp and rest of internet seems the closest are in Wilkes Barre.

What is up? In fact the gun ranges in the area seem to form a ring around this area that includes Hazleton, Berwick, Tamaqua, and White Haven.

There’s plenty of state game lands in the area that allow target shooting. All you need is a state permit. https://www.pgc.pa.gov/HuntTrap/Stat...s/default.aspx

Ok so I guess that eliminates the demand for indoor gun ranges in that geographic circle.

We had a range about 2 miles away from us when we had the pocono house ...it was off route 6 I think ...

The irony is I couldn’t bring any handguns in to pa from nyc even though you don’t need a permit in pa to target shoot .

Our nyc permits are residence permits and not good out of state . They are good only at second homes in state .

pa requires whatever you shoot with be legally held and since or permits are not valid out of state the firearms are not considered legally held in pa

Out of staters can rent guns to shoot at PA ranges including handguns. I just did this three weeks ago.

Yes renting is fine , but bringing your own in is not fine as a New Yorker ...you would need a carry permit from nyc which ain’t happening.

You should probably clarify where you can shoot with the Game Commission. I'm under the impression that you can't target shoot on state game lands with the exception of established state shooting ranges. But, I've also just moved back to Pa after being elsewhere for the last 35+ years so I may be off base.
