This one's for you Dan....

Two deer hunters, Bubba & Dan were standing on a ridge near a highway in rural Pennsylvania on the opening day of deer season. They both spotted a large trophy class buck meandering towards them.

As Dan raised his gun to shoot, a funeral procession came slowly by. The hunter lowered his gun, took off his hat and stood with his head bowed until the procession was past. Of course by then, the deer was gone.

The other hunter Bubba exclaimed 'Wow! That was the most sportsmanlike act I've ever seen! You allowed this trophy buck to escape while showing such compassion and kindness toward someone's dearly departed. You are a great humanitarian and a shining example to sportsmen throughout the world!'

Dan nodded and said, 'Well, we were married for 42 years".

Default Obama's recovery package???

Obama's recovery package aims to:

• Upgrade 10,000 schools and improve learning for about 5 million students.

• Save $2 billion a year by making federal buildings energy efficient.

• Triple the number of undergraduate and graduate fellowships in science.

Obama pitches his plan to reverse economic slide - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090124/ap_on_go_pr_wh/obama_economy - broken link)

Now Im not getting onto what we were talking about before.. This is something different..

What I can't understand is why spend all this money to help kids in school?? What kind of kids is he tring to help??

As we got two of them on this borad that will be soon out into the real world.. And it seems they really have nowhere as of yet to go.. I dont understand what this guy it tring to do??!! Why not fix the world first! Lets get the kids that are getting out of 4 years of school a job first.. And hell the rest of us besides that!! I still dont understand what this guy thinks hes doing.. Like I said before WHAT A JOKE!!

I don't understand anything he's trying to do. I'm just going to close my eyes and forget about Obama for awhile and hope for a miracle that the man actually gets a clue on how to lead this country.

One last thing about the whole abortion and Gitmo topic. It seems to me people like Obama, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi have no problem killing unborn children, but yet don't want to torture or harm terrorists or terror suspects. Amazing line of thinking. Oh well, I don't get it and don't think I ever will.

You know what also gets me? People who don't pay attention to turn signals. Or, as weird as it may sound, drivers who actually aren't aggressive enough. The too-timid older driver in the large beast of a car who passes up 75 opportunities to make a left-handed turn because he can see a car coming from 2 miles away. Yes, no one likes wasting gas, but step on it, buddy! (The younger counterpart to him is the college-aged female driver who never travels less than 90mph on the interstate, and still manages to get out of her tickets.) I can probably list 100 things drivers do to set me off haha.
Now here's something we can agree about. We could go on and on about different bad drivers on the road and it how it enrages us everyday. It's usually the really subtle things people do wrong when driving that really ticks you off, like the examples you mentioned.

There is this part that you chose not to post:

"The plan would spend at least 75 percent of the total cost — or more than $600 billion — within the first 18 months, providing a massive infusion of cash to the struggling economy, either through bricks-and-shovels projects favored by Democrats or tax cuts that Republicans have pushed."

Ed, not everybody believes that an unborn fetus constitutes life. I know you don't "get" that line of thinking, but I, along with many others on the other side of the issue don't "get" your line of thinking either. Obviously, more people "Get" their line of thinking since abortion is LEGAL.

Do you really think that 600 billion will make its way to the right hands??
