I understand it's a woman's right to choose what she does with her own body and abortion is legal. I'm talking about the morality issue here. The liberals think it's OK to have abortions and kill potential human beings, yet don't like the torturing of terrorists who have done horrible things or will do horrible things to people of the U.S. and other countries. This line of thinking is what I don't "get".

No, it's not a joke John, not a joke at all. I just hope and pray that Obama doesn't make this country worse off. I mean we're stuck with him for four years, so let's hope he does something right in that time or else we're really in trouble. We really can't judge his whole term on four days, but if this is what he has in store for us for the next four years, we're doomed. We need hope, faith and lots of prayers.

I like Obama's stance on the war, but I saw something on the news that disturbs me about him. He is going to lift a ban on US funding of overseas abortions. I don't know why US taxpayers should be funding any abortions, nevermind overseas....not to mention the state of the economy. This may turn me very anti-Obama really quick.

For some reason, liberals love abortion, and seem to want to support it and fund it any chance they get.

No John, the joke is actually that there are welders in Des Moines, plumbers in Buffalo, electricians in Boise & landscapers in Scranton that know more about the nation's state of affairs with the economy, world presence, the wars & all the other "issues" & what's needed for it's future than the people in the front lines....THAT'S the joke.

Armchair quarterbacks are a dime a dozen, & if these people have the "right" answers, then they should run for office themselves & PROVE they know more!!

That same bill has been on the docket for decades starting with Reagan & has passed, been banned, passed again, been banned again & now passed again....like a yo-yo...

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama on Friday struck down the Bush administration's ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions or provide abortion information — an inflammatory policy that has bounced in and out of law for the past quarter-century.

So you are right!! We the tax payers will be spending money out of our own pockets for this now!! And the way illeagls have babies in this country it could cost alot more for health care!!

Exactly, this is what John and I pointed out in our previous posts. Why do the liberals love abortions so much? I figure because they love victims. They perceive people that need abortions as victims, just as they see terrorists as. To me, they're irresponsible and abortion is an easy way to get out of that responsibility. Abortion is OK, in extreme cases, if a woman got raped or if it was meant to save the mother's life. But to fund our tax paying money for abortions overseas or right here in the U.S. is disturbing and makes me angry.

Amazing. Some foreigner will be having an abortion on our dime, while people here are losing their jobs, starving, nothing to eat for their kids.

Maybe I'm finally realizing never to trust a politician. Any politician.

I hear what you're saying George and agree with you 100%. We can't all run for public office and try to fix everything that is wrong on a local, state or even federal level. We all have opinions, everyone's got one like you know what, and no matter who's in office there will be people who will agree and there will be some who disagree. This country will never be truly united, and I'm not just talking about people's race and sexual preference. There will be the ones who support Obama and the ones like myself, John and Dan that do not support him and his radical views and policies. Many didn't support Bush and didn't stand by him when he was President? So why should I stand by Obama when I don't care for his socialist, liberal policies? I'm not attacking him as a person, I'm just questioning things he has done in his first few days in office.

So far in the first couple of days of the Obama's administration, he has elected to coddle terrorists, advocate the killing of babies and Federally fund Frankenstein (screwing around with genetic stem cells). Government intervention is the main cause of our economic problems right now. Now we're all supposed to believe the government is the do all, be all of a bad economy.
While watching the canonization of Obama on Tuesday, I couldn't help remembering these words.. "So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause".

Well you can't blame me, I didn't vote for him.
