I wish NYC metro can get more variety. I'd love to see Dietz and Watson, or Schaller and Weber, etc etc under the deli counter instead of just Bronkhorst products all the time.

I wonder what brand the famous deli's like Katz uses, or if they make proprietary. All the bodegas, and the supermarkets make their sandwiches with Boars Head. I never get taste another brands. The sandwich chains have their own proprietary brand though.

Dietz and Watson hotdogs are really good. There is a place called Jimmy's Lunch in Hazleton. They have best hotdogs.

One major issue with kosher hot dogs (and among the reasons I am equally amenable to their kosher-style all-beef counterparts) is that it’s incredibly difficult for suppliers to obtain kosher natural casings. I don’t insist on a natural-casing dog every time, but there are few things more satisfying than that distinct snap after the first bite (particularly for the jumbo knockwurst variety).
