First of all hi to everyone.

I have been looking around the different threads and couldn’t find anything close to this topic so I decided to start one. Sorry if its been covered, but almost everything related to job threads are general.

I visited Scranton last summer and I liked it, so I coming back but this time I am interested in a summer job.

At the moment I'm in my last year of Law School, but to be honest I’m not interested in using that to get a job, I'm more interested in getting a factory job, labor whatever. I’m bilingual (English/ Spanish) and opened to any job opportunities.

If anyone has ideas or knows about a job, please drop a line, Thanks.

There are alot of warehousing type jobs in this region, TJ Maxx in Pittston Twp. comes to mind, expecially if you are bi-lingual. Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is currently hiring, and I'm sure they'll hire you if you're bi-lingual. I'd check the online classifieds of The Scranton Times, Citizens Voice, and The Times Leader (Wilkes-Barre), but jobs of any sort have been scarce around here lately. Also, check out the Luzerne and Lackawanna County Career Links. They'll be able to find something for you.

The hotels are usually looking for people. Believe it or not there are a lot of Spanish speaking people staying at the hotels in Scranton.

Default Summer Job in Scranton?

Start with the big hotels and restaurants. They seem to have too little help in the Summer after the college students go home. If that fails, check out the many hospitals and other health care facilities. Be easygoing and friendly. Mention that you love Scranton. Show an interest in everybody's relatives and ancestors. You'll soon be a Scrantonian.
