I care. As someone who grew up in this area I know what a cut and/or slice is all about. You want a pie? Better make it of the desert variety.

What once made this country great was the local culture and flavor of things. It's a damn shame to see such a tremendous amount of social engineering taking place, telling us how to think.

People used to be allowed to have opinions of what they felt was BEST. Too bad PC, sensitivity, and downright censorship have taken hold of what people are supposed to believe and say.

I don't visit too many pizza jointsthese days, but I do recall that the common terms used to describe order pizza in coal-cracker land was cut or tray.

Before the influx of "Antonio" franchises, almost all pizza that I can remember was made in square trays - not round pie plates.

p.s. - look at the bright side, at least no discussion about people's favorite pizza toppings took place on this thread - that may haveresulted in actual blood-letting.

Who cares - cut, slice, pie, tray !! The best pizza is a matter of personal opinion. And we all know what opinions are like !!!!

Default misconceptions about OF vs NY!

I think those who created Old Forge were really smart in that they created a new "THING" but I think most find it odd that OF pizza is considered THE PIZZA of NEPA because it's really not. The reason why NEPA is pizza capital of the world is because statistically there are more pizzerias in the area based on population than anywhere in the country. AND...the majority of that pizza in NEPA is NOT old forge, it's actually what people think of as "NY Style". And NY STYLE is only named so because of the italians who came here and made it big in NY....I'm sorry to say that most pizzerias in NY aren't even run by italians and not to be biased but when I want Chinese I'd like to go to a chinese person, when I want mexican food, i want to see mexicans runnning the place because I think they know best. Same for pizza, i like to see those little old italian guys running the place. makes it authentic. none of this gourmet garbage. real italian pizza. amen.

P.S. lombardi's is the best pizza i've had in NY. The others I've tried are greasy and tasteless. again, from what i've tried.

Last night, I ate at the only good pizza place in Old Forge. The name escapes me, but it's on Moosic Road near Marriotti's close to Jitty Joes. They serve NY style pizza, the only "real" pizza there is. You locals can have your Revellos, Arcaro and Genell and all of the other places in OF that try to pass off that mess they serve as real pizza. That will never be pizza to me.
