It's funny, we were in Arizona and my father in law told he waitress they were from the pizza capital of the world. She said "New York?" then guessed "Chicago?" when they said Old Forge, Pa she looked at them like they were escaped mental patients.

I'm a NY style pizza girl myself
The way the cheese sticks is part of what makes it great! In a word to the original question....overated? NO. Just different than the NY or Chicago style. It is unique.

That's pretty much everywhere here. It doesn't matter if the pizza is square, round, or a rhombus.....its a tray of pizza in NE PA.

Trapezoid too....but I just always got a laugh out of the word "rhombus." I don't remember much else from high school geometry.

What freaks me out is what kind of cheese sticks to your teeth? I love cheese, but the only kind that sticks to my teeth is whatever they use for OF pizza. Is it a mix with pasturized cheese product or something? even the soft cheeses like brie don't stick to your teeth like that. Freaky

I honestly think they use American cheese. That's the only cheese I know og that does that.
