I'm also relocating to PA. I will be looking at Hemlock Farms. The Wallenpaupack school district is supposed to be fantastic!

Delaware Valley School District is awesome as well and right next to Wallenpaupack. Good luck!

If either of you need a good realtor in the area, feel free to PM me.

Wilkes Barre is just the place for you, and gentrified! Fantastic public schools, Starbucks, boutiques, you'll love it!

Try Carbondale too.

If you want to stay close to home, there's always lovely Stroudsburg.

You may like the Delaware Valley School District as it has many NY/NJ transplants. Also as JL said, Strousberg has everything and you get back to NY pretty easy.

Hi Hat,

Can you tell me what gated communities are within the Delaware Valley school district?

Sure, there are plenty and I might miss a few: Birchwood Lakes, Hemlock (parts go to DV). Conashaugh Lakes. Your best bet is to tallk to a realtor that has more information. Just DM me if you need a good, honest realtor. Good luck.

Hat

Pa was the worst place I have ever lived in. People are mean and the jobs are low paying. One time I was walking to work and someone in a passing car through a glass bottle at me. Yeah, very nice people in PA.

nocturnal rooster,

What part of PA are your referring to? I have to say that I have never met a mean spirited person in PA. When I go to visit from Long Island, I feel like I am in paradise compared to Long Island. People are VERY friendly and always say hello to you. In NY, if you look at someone, they tell you off.

How terrible. I have only met friendly people in pa.

What you met, was not the norm.
