Milford - Pike County Light and Power announced last week that they are seeking a rate increase of 14.5 percent for electric delivery and approximately 23.1 percent for natural gas delivery to customers in Pike County. Both proposals were filed with the PA Public Utilities Commision on Friday, July 18th. The rate increases would take effect around April 2009.

PCL&P serves about 4,600 electric customers in Westfall, Milford and parts of Dingman Township, as well as in Matamoras and Milford Boroughs.

True, Hat. And anyone moving to PA should also remember that as of January 2010, all electric rates will be deregulated in PA. This is likely to double the cost of electricity very quickly.
