Just visited Pottsville today, had no idea they were building Union Station. I will definitely be doing excursions in the future. I am in the Philly burbs with relatives off of Seltzer Rd, father used to take the Reading train from Reading Terminal to Pottsville!

You are referring to what is called Pottsville's new Intermodal Center (link). It's going to be all buses, about 30 per day. While conceived as a passenger rail station also, there is no active train service to or from Posstville. I think they (the local backers of this) included provisions for rail in the hope that someday they might rail service to somewhere, like Reading and Philadelphia.

My family and I are thinking of moving to Pottsville. What are some attractions it has and where are the good area for a small family with two little boys. How are the schools and how is the cost of living? How far from Reading?
