Hi Kim,
We are looking in the Honesdale area, also Hawley and the Lakeville areas.
It is beautiful up there.
We haven't been to the Millford area yet.
We just listed our home about 3 1/2 weeks ago and lowered the price $40,000.
We just had the two showings this week. One perspective buyer came back for the second look yesterday. There are so many houses for sale here.
We are in Punta Gorda. Where are you??

Being in FL for over 20 years...here is what happened....

1) no one here hardly speaks English any more, if you learn Spanish, you are better off

2) hurricanes

3) prices of homes have sky rocketed and no one can hardly afford to buy a home with their $7.00/hour jobs

4) weather is awful

5) Overcrowded stores, schools, and traffic is BAD everywhere.

6) Did i mention hurricanes?????????????

7) FCAT tests for schools....too long of a story, but they are something awful!

8) Total flat land...yuck!

hope i answered your question.....

we live in pasco county near the springhill boarder. My inlaws have a cabin in Hawley. Cute area. Milford has a little more to offer in town than Hawley does. I love going up to Hawley for the 4th amazing fire work show. My in laws cabin is on Fairview Lake. There is alot of homes for sale down here it is crazy.

Honesdale is another really cute town, but not commutable to NJ or NY if that is important to you.
Don't worry about walking your dog at night...the bears are more scared of you than you are of them. They like to eat garbage, not people or dogs.

Christina,

Ha! The bears are afraid of us! I can't wait to walk Spanky outside at night and see one... I will be running in the other direction!!!
I will leave the garbage pales in the garage.

Kim, My DH's uncle lives in Pasco. (Hudson Florida)
I hope this house sells soon or it will make me nuts. Now click your heals three times and say: There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home... LOL

Sounds good. Hopefully we all sell soon. I grew up in Hudson. Milford is very nice. That is where we are hoping to buy. Very clear area. We also like Dingmans too.

I hope we DO sell soon. My has only been on the market for one month and we lowered the price to $299,900 from $339,900. thinking that the realtors would bring us some buyers. Only two showings last week and no bites.
My home is move in ready...now where the heck are the buyers. I am getting very impatient but I know that everybody has their homes for sale in this area. We should have sold last year when all the other homes were still needing repairs from Hurricane Charley but my daugher won a scholarship to the community college. Then she goes and gives it up and didn't go back.
OOOH!!!!!
