I started watching the Office from the beginning just out of curiousity because its set in Scranton. Its a pretty good show, but I haven't followed it since before the writers' strike last year, so I'm a little out of the loop. Plus with it being baseball season and the Phils in a pennant race, just about all I watch are Phillies games, sports highlights, Eagles games of course, and having kids, I tend to see a lot of kids shows. I really don't have much time to follow TV shows anymore.

We started watching reruns recently. I think we watch the background more than the actors to see what is filmed in scranton and what is in hollywood. I'll probably buy a few seasons as gifts for my fiance this x-mas.

I have three of the four seasons available on DVD! My partner always knows exactly what to get me on special occasions, and with my 22nd birthday rapidly approaching around Halloween I have a feeling my collection might just be complete.

Phoenix metro is full of people that are from somewhere. When I mention that I'm from the Wilkes-barre/Scranton area of north east Pa many people immediately relate to Scranton being on the office. Next time I'm in I need to get get some Scranton tourist stuff for quite a few people.
I agree. I'm a regular on many political message boards, and whenever they see "Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA" as my home location I inevitably get several curious people go "Like, oh my God! That's where "The Office" is set, right? Like, that's so like, totally cool!" It's nice that Scranton is being regarded as somewhat "hip" instead of as the runner-up for Armpit of America, as it was in the 1990s.
