SHEEPLE- A supporter who blindly praises and follows the ways of Mayor Christopher Doherty. Has his or her head in the sand and can't see the real issues because they are blinded by something the mayor says or does.

I lived here for 6 and and half years and it is a hell hole in my opinion. I realize this and will eventually do something about it and get out. It may not be to others, but it is to me. I wish I could say it wasn't, but I'm just calling it how I see it, or experiencing it. Scranton will never have a vibrant downtown with people walking around at night like Times Square or Greenwich Village. It will never happen because Scranton is a totally different animal. Some people like Scranton for what they think it should be, I don't like it for what it is. If people think I'm being negative, I'm sorry. This is how I feel.

Congratulations for invalidating every anti-Scranton remark you've ever posted here.

I'm sorry, but I don't get where you're coming from. I didn't invalidate anything. I've had the same opinion on this city for years and nothing has changed.

Paul you're right. This city does need a new cheerleader. I wish I could be that cheerleader, but there's nothing much to cheer about. You did your best and I know you were sincere about it, but it was an uphill battle. Please don't think I'm being sarcastic because I'm not. I think you should focus on yourself and be your own cheerleader and try to make your life better instead of worrying about Scranton. You have a bigger and brighter future. Make a change in your own life. I like you Paul and truly mean this from the bottom of my heart. I want to see you have success in your life.

Ya imagine that......He makes $50,000 a year...He gave up 5% to "help" cut costs...Then he gave everyone in the admin a raise of $3,000 to $3500each. The 5% knocked him down to $47,000 a year then he budgeted a raise for himself up to $55,000 a year so now after the 5% cut he is making more then before..

You don't think that Doherty is only making his salary as mayor do you?

Whats up Lus bored with your 4 other friends over there across the hall? Nobody to make fun of this week? Had to come in and give the little chipper a pep talk huh? Why not try and just take his rosey glasses off.

Sure, because someone can really afford his mansion in Green Ridge and all those kids on $45,000 a year.... yeah right.
