Since Halloween is on a Friday, I bet all of the towns will be doing it then. You should try to come up here & get some of the "haunted" houses around me.
This is Lori's favorite holiday and she has a following of families that come to the house. Giant spiders are already on the front porch climbing cobwebs! Post some pics!!

Default Short walk to the Old Rosemont Cemetery

As I mentioned, just one block north from Main Street, is the Old Rosemont Cemetery, which offers great views
of a portion of Bloomsburg. We decided to walk the dogs to this ridge.

Looking south one can see where the Susquehanna River cuts through the mountains and flows toward Sunbury,
Harrisburg and the Chesapeake Bay.

The Clock Tower and Church Steeple imitate the cemetery, here in a compressed telephoto shot.

Walking back to Main Street...

We pass this church...

And walk across Market Square for a look north.

Here are three restaurants! Clancy's, Russell's and LaFontana next to the fountain (Out of view).
We took the dogs home (just another block away) and came back to eat dinner at La Fontana.
Bloomsburg is a GREAT walking town!

The autumn Artwalk was held this evening in Bloomsburg. It was well attended. Along with art and artists,
food and beverages were in twenty seven stores!

It looks great. Too bad we couldn't get down. It's hard on a weekday.
I love the wood boxes. Does he sell at Artspace? I know some people who may like one.

Bloomsburg is a nice town. It would be a nice place to live as long as you're not living too close to the college.

Default ...

Bob does have his woodwork at Artspace and his most creative work is there. If you know anything about wood, you'll be amazed at the variety of woods he puts together to make unusual graphic designs in some of his more freeform work, such a bowls....

And close to the college doesn't necessarily make for uncomfortable living. It would be the places that house the kids. We live on the west side of town, far from the college, next door to a house with college students. Fortunately I am in a strict neighborhood with a strict landlord. The students are courteous and considerate. Recently a student knocked on our door and gave his phone number to us. He said that he was having a party for a friend and if they get too loud, to please call him!

I have a good friend who moved from here to Bethlehem. I helped him move there. That's a very nice city.

Default Walk to Campus...

I decided to walk Fifth Street cross town to
East Street and then to Bloomsburg University
Campus. I took 112 photographs and here are four.

This Lavenderkin is not far from our house.
I never saw this kind of treatment on a pumpkin.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is now!

I was intrigued with how these leaves were turning.

I managed to get this picture just as the afternoon light was fading over nearby rooftops!
