I have heard this is a great day trip that many NEPA'ers are taking with their children. I hear it is not too far from Dingmans and it is very nice. Has anyone else been there? Sometimes you just need a change. Have a great weekend!

This isn't too far from me in NJ and I hear it's a great place for the kids. about 15 mins. tops from the Delaware Water gap - exit 12 off of Rt. 80 in Hope NJ. Nice little town - they filmed portions of Friday the 13th there many moons ago. You may want to check out the wolf santuary over in Columbia NJ as well. It's pretty cool and kids love it! I believe it's called Latoka Wolf Santuary.

Thanks for sharing Wileynj, it came highly recommended. The wolf santuary sounds very interesting and I will check it out. Summerintg is our forum member that always suggests different things, so I was happy to add a little tidbit. It's always great to hear of new suggestions especially when you feel like you see much of the same thing all the time.

There's a Pow Wow going on this weekend over at the Sussex County fair Grounds this weekend - not far from Northern PA. There's also a great big crafts fair happening on Rt. 94 in Frelinghuysen - Wilbur's Country Crafts fair..just came back - I'm now the proud owner of a 4-foot long by 2-foot high welcome sign with 3 bears on it..it's adorable : ) I live on "Bear Creek Road" so it's a must on our street to have one..lol : )

Enya, that is a great sign, we have been hearing so many good things about the place, they must be doing something right.

This was one of my girl's (and mine) favorite day trips when they were kids. WHat impressed me back in the 80's and early '90's was how clean it was always kept. Haven't been there since they built the waterpark area, but heard that was fun. It was well worth the day trip as it was simple enough for the youngsters without being too overwhelming, and a great day in the country for them. My one girl used to call it the "Land of make-it-believe" when she was about 2 and that just kind of stuck with us. Have fun!
