WOOOO!!! President-Elect Obama just mentioned Scranton again in his victory speech! Go us! I can't believe the crowd out there in Grant Park! The crowd for McCain in Phoenix did nothing but boo, hiss, and chant anti-Obama rhetoric, showcasing what sore losers the Republicans are. Congratulations, President-Elect Obama! Too bad your grandmother couldn't have held on just long enough to have seen your beautiful speech tonight beneath the Chicago skyline.

His speech was a just a tad better then Kanjorski's. You know, I generally do not trust poloticians at all... actually I hate most of them come to think of it, but for the first time in a very long time, after that speech, I felt patriotic. I honestly hope that he is for real, and that that speech was from the heart. America is really putting all thier faith in his hands, and I really hope he becomes the President that we all hope he will become. I am just happy that the long dark shadow that the Bush administration has cast over this country is finally coming to an end. I really, really hope this is a new beginning for our country and the future, and I really hope Obama isn't all talk and no action. We'll have to wait and see.

I agree....a bunch of sore losers is right. McCain gave a nice, graceful speech, but his supporters really showed how hateful and juvenile they can be......there was so much booing I thought it was a Phillies game and J.D. Drew just came up to bat for the other team....

It is a relief to know that we won't have 4 more years of Bush/Cheney warmongering policies.

You often hear a lot of NOs at a concession speech when people don't want their candidate to concede, but those sure sounded more like boos. Lame.

McCain's speech was gracious and uplifting though-- wish the campaign had had more of that tone.

I heard a comment from someone from in Italy, "America is Back"! Yeah..it was a moving and heartfelt day. "The future started yesterday... we are already late." And Tommorw is starting NOW! We all need to unite and do our part. One man can't do it ALL.. just like we made our voices heard yesterday.. we need to ALL ccontinue on the next four years and do what we can to make a better life for ourselves, our children and our country! Put the walls down and let's build together a better place for all of us.
