Default Sayings Of The Jewish Buddhist

1) If there is no self, whose arthritis is this?

2) Be here now. Be someplace else later. Is that so complicated?

3) Drink tea and nourish life; with the first sip, joy; with the second sip, satisfaction; with the third sip, peace; with the fourth, a Danish.

4) Wherever you go, there you are. Your luggage is another story.

5) Accept misfortune as a blessing. Do not wish for perfect health, or a life without problems. What would you talk about?

6) The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single Oy.

7) There is no escaping karma. In a previous life, you never called, you never wrote, you never visited. And whose fault was that?

8) Zen is not easy. It takes effort to attain nothingness. And then what do you have? Bupkis. (nothing!)

9) The Tao does not speak. The Tao does not blame. The Tao does not take sides. The Tao has no expectations. The Tao demands nothing of others. The Tao is not Jewish.

10) Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Forget this and attaining Enlightenment will be the least of your problems.

11) Let your mind be as a floating cloud. Let your stillness be as a wooded glen. And sit up straight. You'll never meet the Buddha with such rounded shoulders.

12) Deep inside you are ten thousand flowers. Each flower blossoms ten thousand times. Each blossom has ten thousand petals. You might want to see a specialist.

13) Be aware of your body. Be aware of your perceptions. Keep in mind that not every physical sensation is a symptom of a terminal illness.

14) The Torah says, Love your neighbor as yourself. The Buddha says, There is no self. So, maybe we're off the hook.

Default JG Keels Over From Shock....

I had an "interesting" day yesterday!!

My house insurance is due the 10th of June. Usually I get a bill a month ahead. I haven't gotten it yet, so I called my agent.

She called me back & was SHOCKED!! My insurance went from 1400.00 to 2600.00!!! I had heart failure on the phone!!!

Long story short, she called them to see why they had an 83% increase, & it ends up they didn't put in the hurricane extras I had built into the house.... (JG grabbed a coupla beers after all that!!!!)

Turns out it went down to 1100.00, so I'm heading out to drop off a check & take Chica to get her front nails clipped at the vet. (she won't let us touch her front paws...instinct, since chihuahuas are "burrowers"...)

Never a dull moment!!!

Ouch! At least you got it all figured out. Many people would have just paid it and not complained.

It looks like it was two related shootings ( one being the shooter)
What a sad way for the beginning of the Memorial Day holiday.......The poor restaurant patrons had to be in the scene of this.......Applebees in Bloomsburg. Such, a wonderful and charming
college town........ So sad to hear this............

I don't know what the hell is WRONG with people!! It's beyond my comprehension level!!

I have a problem killing a fly, let alone an animal or other human!!

I'll say it yet again... The older I get, the more I wanna become a hermit!!
