I'll say it yet again... The older I get, the more I wanna become a hermit!!
That is terrible, I can understand the hermit comment myself. Things, especially violence, seem to be getting worse.

Funny....when Bill worked in the ER (in the "hood"), he'd get knifing & gunshot victims in their teens all the time. When he asked them what happened, they almost ALWAYS said they were "disrespected"...

As far back as I can remember, I didn't get respect unless I EARNED that respect. Nobody was respected until they EARNED that respect.

Even as a so-called "bleeding-heart liberal", I think this PC crap has gone over the edge!! Now if you even fart in someone's general direction, they can either sue you (with a PLETHORA of lawyers at their fingertips), or shoot you 'cause you "disrespected" them!!!

Rain held off here yesterday so I was able to have a little BBQ for my family. Was fun, we ate too much, did shots of Jack and played Apples to Apples. Good times!

Hope y'all had some Jack for me!!!

The sun finally came out around 4PM here, so out I went to clean up the mess made by 6 days of rain!!!

My cuz is in Rome (& heading to Istanbul today), so no family here to BBQ with... I am gonna grill some portobellos today & try to imitate that sandwich I had in St. Augustine though....

Gee, I didn't have your Jack yesterday, should I have one for you today instead? LOL!

I was going to grill portobellos and red pepper, but got lazy and made fiesta brown rice and pre-made veggie burgers instead. My boyfriend, my brother and his boyfriend all ate meat burgers that my brother made on the grill.

My Momma was there too. She had a little Jack but decided it made her feel too hot. It was a muggy day here yesterday. Muggy today too. My workout had me sweating quite a bit this morning. Either that or it was the fact that I was a pig yesterday - I had both an ice cream cone AND a root beer float because I couldn't decide which I wanted more.
