I agree...but it is uncalled for to degrade an entire religion over the actions of individual priests/bishops. If we're going to do that, should we also use the same broad brush to paint coaches, teachers, scout leaders, Protestant ministers, etc, as there have been molestors in those professions as well, and probably just as high of a percentage of Catholic priests.

Trust me, I hate child molestors as much as anyone....I believe anyone convicted of a sex crime against a child should get the death penalty....hung from the nearest tree. But I think these degenerates come from all walks of life, but the media loves to sensationalize stories that make the Catholic Church look bad.

it is in poor taste to condemn an entire religion and its followers because of the immoral action of some of its members----the bishop MUST follow catholic teachings as do those that are TRUE catholics(its very easy to say one is and not follow its teachings) if biden and casey continue to support abortion and the death penalty--they should NOT partake of communion and join a religion that supports their views----many Christian religions hold thesame views as catholics in regards to preserving life----by the way,i have observed in an abortion clinic so that i could understand the great sorrow many women in the counseling groups i ran,had years after their abortions ,those of you who think abortion is okay should talk to these women and men whose children have been aborted.
a first, second, and third trimester abortion DOES NOT look like JUST TISSUE--IT LOOKS AND IS HUMAN!

by the way,swb--there are many groups and organizations other than the catholic church that have questionable tax exemptions------

looks like some of you here need to start a catholic bashing thread to vent your multi reasons for disliking a church that you may not fully understand---you will find terrible things occuring in other groups and religions----so if you all are gonna vent make it ecunemical!
