I know someone here that used to have the craziest decorations ever. You had to go inside to see them, but it was worth it!
reindeer sawed in half "jumping" through the wall, about a bazillion glass balls, lights everywhere, upside-down tree on the ceiling (decorated & with gifts), tree limbs coming out of the wall & disappearing into the ceiling...
anything anyone could dream up - it was there
Too bad he can't do that anymore. I miss the crazyness!

Thanks. Unfortunately that little lighted wreath swag over the front stoop is already getting rusty after only a few years. I still have more candy canes to put up along the right-hand side of the sidewalk, but I'm considering not putting them up this year so as not to cause "overkill" with the two reindeer and the "seizure tree" in that little area in front of the lit wreath and to the left of my mother's SUV.

We're not decorating 'cause we're heading up to NEPA, but here's some pix from last year (which would've been the same this year if I'd decorated...)

Beautiful pictures, George! I never thought people down South could really get into the Christmas "spirit" given the warm weather and palm trees all over, but you've proven me wrong. I love your pup too! Your little canine helper is almost as cute as Summering's.....dots.....

Awwwww!!! Sooo cuttee!!! Chefkey, if you get the chance some Saturday this month between 12 PM-3 PM, would you or W-B Proud mind heading downtown to see what the festivities are like near the square? They're supposed to have carolers, decorations, hot cocoa, FREE PARKING, etc. downtown to coincide with the city's impending renaissance. I usually work Saturdays 2 PM-11 PM, so perhaps I'll even have an hour or two to kill downtown.

Shame I will miss them by 1 hour as I always work until 4pm on Saturday. No Sundays? I have off Sunday so I could go take some pics then.

People here in Florida go OVERBOARD (and I mean OVERBOARD!!!) with the Xmas stuff!! I think it's 'cause there's a lotta northern "transplants" trying to get that "Xmas feeling" when they're wearing t-shirts & shorts!!!
