Hi, ashely! I came looking for a thread to see how you both are doing. Glad to see things went well, and I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner.

How are you doing? Any updates?

(((ashley)))

I am not sure exactly how that will affect it. I will find out more on Friday when he goes for his first appointment. I just pray that it will still last a long time. He is peeing up a storm though. LOL. Well, off to make the thank you cards for the 2 surgeons. One is a huge Steelers fan so that will be a fun one to make. Take care.

Hope you are feeling good, too... I know you want to do all you can for your hubby....but having a kidney removed was major surgery for you, too....so take care of yourself, too!

Hi. I am feeling much better this week. I go back to the doctors on Tuesday and hopefully he will let me drive again. I am so bored! I do not know how people can choose to stay home. I am going crazy. Well, Marks potassium level is still high and the creatine is still up there but they say the kidney is working fine. They are thinking that he had a problem with potassium before all of this. They are switching meds around to see what will work. He said that today has been the worst out of them all. He is cramping up for some reason. Other then that, things are going alright. Thanks for your concern.

Thanks for posting an update; I was wondering how the two of you were doing. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling much better and that the kidney is working for your husband. This is truly a miracle. I hope that the potassium issue is just a small bump on his road to good health. You both will continue to be in my thoughts. Please keep us posted!

Thank you for checking back in with us, ashley. I sincerely hope that you are both feeling great very soon. Yes, that staying home thing can be boring. Try to relax and enjoy it while it lasts. You need rest too....as poconoproud said.

My best thoughts and prayers to you and your husband.

Hi everyone. Sorry I have not wrote in a while but I do not seem to go on the comp. much at home. I am still healing. I a just upset because I was supposed to go back to work on March 9 but they will not let me come back because I have a 20 lb. weight restriction. Now I am off until the end of April. I am not liking this too much. Mark is still having some issues with the potassium levels. He goes back on Tues. so we hope they are still down. I hope everyone is doing well. I have to try to find some things to keep me busy for the next few weeks. I had enough of cleaning and reading already. Well, have to go and pick up pizza. Take care.
