Its Not a bad place , But pretty far from shopping ( Blakeslee shopping is a rip off)

534 is a nice road ,and the state park is pretty close , Its close to Rt 80

Those roads are wicked in the winter , But all in all a decent place

Holiday Pocono is directly on Rte 534, about 3/4 mile from the intersection of Rte 903. Grocery store right on the corner...Hazle Park it is called. Banks close by etc., but if you want to "go to the mall", you will need to traverse 115 to Wilkes Barre (Wyoming Valley Mall), about 35 minutes for you from HP, but I am sure a lot cheaper than NJ or NY if that is where you are from. Holiday Pocono has a great property manager (Hank), he is a full time resident & sits on the Kidder Twp. Environmental Advisory Commission. They run the development by the book. It abuts state gamelands that only have access from the development (your own private entrance). A pretty nice place, interspersed with older homes (about 25-30 yrs old) with some newer stuff built in the last few years. There is not a lot of riff raff, so to speak, inside this community & security is fairly tight (gated card entrance). It is in a typically wet area, actually...it is the opposite side of the mountain for Big Boulder ski resort.....biggest black bears in the state here, or the lower 48 for that matter. Taxes are 3% of the appraised home value, at least that is what it was a few years back. Close proximity to excellent outdoor activities...hunt, fish, ski, white water rafting, hiking, etc. Hickory Run state park is about 3 miles away. Looking to buy or build??? I can suggest an excellent realtor and/or builder if you require. Good luck!!
