Just wanted to know if there was any flooding in those two counties.
We will be looking to buy our new home probably in Wayne County or Pike...

Yes.
Westfall, Matamoras and parts of Milford in Pike county (that I am aware of)
Wayne county has flooding out near Hawley (according to my aunt), Lake Como and along the Delaware.
There might be more, but we just drove from Shohola (Pike county) to NY and that is all I saw.

If you are up high, you should be dry.
We are on a hillside, and we have a few mini streams in the area, but nothing that is going to wreck you basement or house.
Look hard in the basement, see if there is evidence of water penetration. If there is then ask bout it till you are satisfied.

Flood watch in effect for Hawley until Friday PM. Lachawaxen river at 13.5 feet tonite at 9pm. Flood stage is 11feet. Sewer treatment plant having problems keeping up.
