It doesn't matter where this person was from, what his circumstances were... it really doesn't matter "who started it". What matters is that a person was killed? Even if he instigated the fight, those boys could have walked away. It takes a bigger person to walk away from a fight!! They definitely deserved a harsher punishment!

Let me say, first of all, that I am a white man that does NOT support illegal immigration, but with that being said, my stomach turned when I first heard that these two MURDERERS from Shenandoah were found innocent of murder after blatantly KICKING A MAN TOO DEATH in "KKK-andoah". In a trial that would have made O.J. Simpson raise HIS eyebrows, these two murderous punks will probably spend less then two years in prison,for MURDERing another man!!! They were only charged with simple assault. These two white kids are apparently two well known, football players in a small hick town that worships high school football players when the townspeople are not burning crosses. I didn't know this can happen in America in 2009!!! This is an outrage and a complete embarrassment for Schuylkill County and NEPA as a whole. Funny that this story wasn't as sensationalized. I guess when the perpetrators are black and the victims are white it's not a hate crime. I hope I never get raped with a chair leg while my boyfriend is sodomized in front of me by five black men. I sure hope my body doesn't ending up mutilated and in a trash can. Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom. The two University of Tennessee students were on a date when they were carjacked by 5 black men. They were taken to a house where they were held. Christopher was raped, doused with gasoline, shot and his body dumped on the side of rail road tracks. Channon had a household cleaner poured down her throat and was raped repeatedly. Mutilated, brutalized She, too, was murdered. Although the two were white and their alleged attackers black, police say race was not an element in this case.
According to news reports, Christian and Newsom had gone on a date at a local restaurant on Saturday, January 6, 2007, but did not return home. During their night out, the couple was "hijacked, bound and blindfolded and taken back to Lemaricus Devall 'Slim' Davidson's rented house on Chipman Street."
Christian's parents found her abandoned two blocks away from the Chipman Street house the following Monday with the help of her mobile phone provider. An envelope recovered from the vehicle yielded fingerprint evidence that led police to Lemaricus Davidson and 2316 Chipman Street. When police went to the address on Tuesday, January 9, they found the home unoccupied and Christian's body in a trash can in the kitchen.
According to the testimony of the Knox County Acting Medical Examiner at the subsequent trial of Eric Boyd, Newsom was repeatedly raped and then blindfolded, gagged, arms and feet bound and his head covered. Barefoot, he was either led or dragged outside the house to a set of nearby railroad tracks. He was shot in the back of the head, the neck, and the back, and his body then set on fire. Christian's death would come only after hours of sexual torture, medical examiner Mileusnic-Polchan testified. Christian suffered horrific injuries to her vagina, anus and mouth. She was not only raped but savaged with "an object," possibly a broken chair leg, the doctor testified. She was beaten in the head. Some type of chemical was poured down her throat, and her body, including her bleeding and battered genital area, likely scrubbed with the same solution - all while Christian was alive, the forensic expert said. She was then "hog-tied," with curtains and strips of bedding, her face covered tightly with a small trash bag and her body stashed inside five large trash bags before being placed inside a large trash can and covered with sheets. Christian died slowly, suffocating, the medical examiner said.

I never argued that this was a hate crime. I have repeatedly stated that I believe the jury decided the way they did because of the fact that the victim was an illegal, hispanic alien and the accused were local yokels.
