Anyone have experience with the New Foundland Hotel food. Would be interested if anyone has been there recently, good or bad. Thanks, Hat

I love their food and eat there often. The service sometimes can be slow but the environment is good. Its one of the few places in the area where taking my children is fun and not too expensive.

I love their menus, It is fun to read them. I don't think it is good for a fancy dinner, you wouldn't go there for a special occasion but for a regular night out they have really great sandwiches. The bar/restaurant itself is rather run down.

Rundown??????

For that town its pretty upscale .. Bo -D's is dirty , Up a creek is a dive , So is the Ellendale . The Raintree is a ripp off, whats left ,,Johns Italian is ok depending on the time of year ..

Considering that its the only place around there that also has live bands on the weekends ...

Its also The place My Fiance' and I met for our 1st date 3 yrs ago July 11th

I like the place and think anyone who goes there will enjoy themselves

Its not upscale they are all run down in Newfoundland. The hotel is just as bad as the rest- actually I think Bo Ds is a little better than The Hotel, but only by Newfoundland standards. I live here and dont go to the restaurants here often, but when I have been to The Hotel the sandwiches were very good. The service is not as good as Bo Ds though. I do like Spanky's for breakfast.

Spanky's Is BY FAR the best breakfast on that side of the mountain...

I agree ..... The Hotels Bathrooms are gross but for a shot and beer joint . Its a good place ,, Ive always had a good meal there . The pool table sucks its crooked , But out of all the places in that area I like tHe Hotel the best ..
