I'm really not sure what we are doing. My husband works on the weekends but we both have Memorial Day off.

How about you?

we are taking the day off. We've been working non stop for three weeks, so I am really looking forward to it!

We are going to grill talapia, chicken wings and burgers...and I am hoping our bf's can come.

I will also be retiring and replacing our well loved, but worn flag.

On Memorial Day, I place one small flag for every veteran I knew and loved who is no longer with us in my garden. I also place one for the soldiers lost in Iraq..one for the soldiers lost in Afghanistan...and one for my best friend's son's lost comrad, Sherwood Baker.

I'm heading to NJ to visit friends and family for the weekend. My husband is staying behind to watch our cats (we have 6), and go camping one night (with the guys...I wasn't invited..LOL)

I'm heading to New York State with the little fellows to enjoy a birthday bash of their cousins...... I have his first two wheel bike here (with trainers) and from what I hear he can't wait......His brother and him are trying to share one.......
The little fellows love putting the earphones on during travel.......They get in their own special little world.
Either that,or we play the sign game which keeps all of us busy the entire trip.
So that is part of the weekend anyhow........the rest is still up in the air.
Our cats......being feral........pretty much take care of themselves. I'm not use to that yet......we always had housecats growing up. This is a whole new ballgame........

The heat I can contend with. Getting pulled over for doing 56 in a 55 zone though might be a challenge! Man your cops are aggressive!

Hoping the weather report changes...we are planning to a cook out a Weston Park, just the three of us. It stinks that I have to be a mommy taxi so that limits any plans.
