Crime in Sarasota seems pretty bad lately...11+ violent home invasions. In Bradenton, Fl. a woman heard a loud noise at 3 am and proceeded to look out her bedroom window. She was promptly shot in the face.Crime sounds like it has gotten worse in Wilkes-Barre, but is it as bad as "down here"? Don't forget all the missing children here also.

Not quite. I go there one in a while and live to tell the tale.

It takes a bit of training, but if you think that something bad is happening, do not move toward the disturbance - go the other way. It works in most instances.

At one point between looking out the window and getting shot was the woman supposed to pull out her gun and shoot? And what if it was just an innocent noise the woman heard and she killed someone?

No need to reward common sense, no matter how uncommon it may seem
to be around here these days....

Since I apparently have no "common sense" pray tell what should this woman have done?

know your neighborhood--if you hear loud noises---stay away from the windows and call 911

being formerly from the tampa bay area----going to the window is the most dangerous thing to do especially in the areas of bradenton with gang issues---all things said and done---i would move back there in a heartbeat if i could and p2s is always welcome to return to pittstown if he wishes
