Just came back! It was packed. They didn't have the fountain on though. I picked up a beautiful hanging flower basket for just $10.00! Other places I have been wanted from $16-$24 for the same thing. Not to much produce yet, it's still a little early in the growing season. There were some strawberries, blueberries, brocolli, flowers ect.

Why is this farmers' market season so notably SHORT in Wilkes-Barre?! I remember being at King's and LOVING sauntering down to the square every Thursday between classes to buy my stuffed buffalo chicken pizza at Nikko's! It's almost JULY, and it's just starting up now? Wasn't it earlier in prior years? I mean, the one in Reston has been going on for quite some time now.

Probably due to the unseasonably cold and rainy June is my guess.

PA is much farther north than Virginia. Maybe our shorter growing season is why the PA farmer's markets open later than Virginia's. Plus, it has been unseasonably wet and cool here for the month of June.
