I find it amusing that a sub shop type place is named Cosmo's.
I'm from Danville & if you go in the sub shop there & ask for a cosmo, you get a toasted sub. The first time I asked for one of those in Scranton they looked at me like I had 3 heads. Oh, and forget asking for anything "in the garden." (lettuce, tomato, mayo, with or without peppers)
I saw the name & chuckled a bit.

Probably about 10 years ago. I miss Top Dog....a favorite hangout of my youth. Can't beat 39 cent hot dogs and an arcade.

I am very good friends with the owner Cosmo and I was able to do some sampling of the cheese steaks ,fries and all the other subs Cosmo will be selling .The food is phenomenal and you will not be disapointed with anything you order from Cosmo's ,if you like cheese steaks you will not be able to get a better one anywhere

The hype exceeds the reality of the sandwich. Both of us had a chunk of grissle in our sandwich that really turned us off. The onions were hard to find on the sandwich. The best part of the thing was the roll. No one can touch that. They need to lower the price by a buck, and get a better quality of meat. Right now, their sandwich isn't any better than anyone elses.

I've heard Cosmo's cheesesteaks suck. Very poor quality of meat with gristle as mentioned above...and overpriced. For what they're charging, you could get a real cheesesteak in Philly. It shouldn't be surprising, you're not going to find a true Philly cheesesteak in NEPA.

I kind of figured that it would be too good to be true. Some people will accept anything as a substitute for the original.

Well, since it is a new place, let's hope they work the kinks out (no pun intended). They invested much time, money, effort to refurb that building very nicely and it is a plus to the area. Let's give them a chance to get it right.

I never base my final opinion of a dining establishment on the first few weeks of operation. It often takes a bit of time to get it right.

Good points. The building does look very nice, but will mean nothing if they keep serving sub-par cheese steaks. Let's give it another couple of months or so and see if there is any improvement. Give them a chance, agreed.
