Just got back from the wurst festival. It was tiny. Only way it could be enjoyable is if you're going there to drink. But as far as german beer selections, they had Budweiser, Bud Light, Bud Lime, Hoegaarden (belgian) & Abbey de Leffe (belgian). It was $15 to get in, and I guess that was just for the entertainment, cuz you had to pay for whatever food you wanted. Never again.

Sorry you had a bad time. We loved it. The music and dancers were fantastic. Excellent food and I'm a sucker for a good pig race.

The thing that got me was the $15 entrance fee, for which you got nothing outside of some live entertainment. I was expecting a free buffet at least. For a comparison, Stoudt's Brewery down near Reading holds microbrew festivals 3 times a year. For $30 you get a free sampling glass, as many free samples of beer you can drink from up to 20 different breweries, all you can eat german buffet, one of the best drinking bands out there, and a free shuttle to your hotel when its all over.

Well that sure sounds great! I hate paying those admission fees, too. But $15 I decided to "splurge" on because I really felt like doing something. I remember going to a craft "festival" at I think Jack Frost and they wanted an admission fee. I thought that was disgusting!
