Does anyone out there know anything about the mountain in Nanticoke called "Gobbler's Knob"?? It was visible from my grandmother's house in "Honeypot" (the older I got, the more I appreciated both names....) & my mom told me that the Indians used to corral & drive wagon trains & buffalo over the cliff edge many years back.

When I Google it, all I get is a hunting place near Pittsburgh & something in Punxatawny.....

Don't know anything about either one but love the names! Is Honeypot the real name of your grandmothers town?

Yeah!! There's a mountain on the SW side of Nanticoke that was called Honeypot, even though it was still "Nanticoke"... We drove up there last December, & except for the new "back way" road, it really hasn't changed much in 40 years!!

George If you were looking over the river from "Honey pot" you werre probably looking at Tillburry Knob over in W.Nanticoke.
I was up in the Honeypot section this spring and there is a lot of construction going on up there.
Great views of the valley from a different perspectave than you normaly see in photos.
