Please help these deserving kids out! They are Ukraine's orphaned children who would love to visit you this Christmas!
Answers to FAQS

1They are healthy and vaccinated appropriate to age.
2 They have health insurance
3 No most do not know English but they learn very quickly in my experience! You will learn too!
4 Most are available for adoption. (90% of people who host do go on to seek adoption of that particular child - this is a Nationwide stat - not only for my program.
5. If you find that for any reason you can not continue with hosting your child will be referred to a safe house for the duration of the trip
6. The kids come with the clothes on their backs. If the provision of clothes is an issue we can help.
7 these children on the whole are not spoiled. very helpful and eager to experience new things.
8 I have hosted over 11 children and students from Ukraine and it has been a wonderful and enlightening experience for our family.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AMONG YOUR FRIENDS NEIGHBORS your CHURCH and other you trust.

Thank You!

DM me if you want to see photos of the children who are available. I will be getting the from my Ukrainian partner later today!

Default hosting

Which agency is representing the kids? Is it an adoption agency?

No we are NOT an adoption agency and this is a very good question! The children come as part of a cultural exchange sanctioned by the Ministry of Family Education and the Rights of the Child.
If a host family wishes to adopt a child who they have hosted we can help you to do so with out the use of an agency, and thus save thousands of dollars.
I am a volunteer worker. We call our group "From Ukraine with Love".
Anyone wishing to take part DOES have to obtain local police and child abuse clearance and to undergo a mini home study. If adoption is a goal the families taking part must at this point be married legally. You do not need to own your own home, and age limits on School age children are very flexible in Ukraine.

I do NOT make the rules concerning who may and may not adopt. These are Ukraine's rules. Recently singer Elton John was denied the adoption of a child under 2 years of age, due to his age and marital status, among other things.
Ukraine still remains one of the most flexible countries when it comes to age. They request at most a 45 year age difference between the child and the adoptive family. This is very liberal as compared to other countries.

Sheena, do you have to go to the Ukraine to finalize the adoptions?

As with most countries that participate in international adoption. you do have to go to Ukraine to finalize the adoption. I think it's a good rule for the protection and emotional health of the child. If people want their kids Fedexed to them and have no interest in seeing the country of their child's origin, I would question their sincerity. IMHO.
BUT I guess it is possible to take a ship although I have never heard of anyone doing that...
Romania and Guatemala used to permit escorts but to my knowledge both programs are closed.

UR funny scrantonluna! Ummm honestly a lot of the older boys go to trade school so I wouldn't rule it out! The girls will clean your house within an inch of it's life - if you let them. They all sew cook and clean. It's hard to get them to just "be kids".
