I saw this on the newscast a few days ago. Newscast said that an average bill of $100 will go up to $130 or so. They made sure to say "don't forget, folks, you can buy your electricity from any supplier these days." So I ask: Why are the rates going up yet again? And, how in the world do I find "other suppliers" to buy from? Someone told me that you still have to pay the "delivery line," i.e. the conduit from which your power flows, besides also paying the new supplier. I understand none of this except that I have to dig deeper into my wallet to just subsist.

by the time they are done with you i never found it cheaper to get another supplier. the electricity is the cheap part, its the line and transmission charges you will still pay ppl that are killer.

even though we are going up 30% ,not that im happy we still pay alot less then other areas. here in new york con edison is around .21 cents a kwh. even with the increase we are about .14 cents

Just wait. It will only get better.

Or maybe the government can become the savior and get involved in utilities as well as health care.

That's not what I said.

Nowhere did I say it was the President's fault. Could you please tell me where I said the rate hike had anything to do with the President?

*crickets chirping*

*somewhere in the distance, a dog barks....*

That's right - I didn't say that.

I agree roxxy. I really, really wish people would say what they mean already. The passive aggressive thing is so unproductive.
