How about the Jean King on 309 in Wilkes Barre Twp? It was next to the Kmart as far as I remember.

The Castle Restaurant (Scranton); Marin's Restaurant, Fanny's Diner, The Sunset Diner, The Piedmont Tavern, The Continental Restaurant, Lakeway Hotel (all in Luzerne); The Embassy, Hart and Spa Restaurants (Wilkes-Barre); The Top Hat Diner, The Red Rooster Diner, McClean's (all in Kingston), The Forty-Fort Theater; Stull Brothers, City Chevrolet, Superior Motors, Harris Hardware (Kingston); Barry Motors, Roscoe Miller Cadillac (Wilkes-Barre); Hotel Hart, Durkee Hotel (Wilkes-Barre); Hotel Casey (Scranton); Comerford Theaters (WB & Scranton); The State Theater w/vaudeville (WB); The Bennett Building, The Central Building, Schooley Apartment Building (WB); The Public House at the Hotel Magee (Bloomsburg). Memory is where these places exist but only temporarily.

I was only there once, my father wasn't much for taking us to movies but I vividly remember that one. It was last week for ET, probably half price. It was snowing like a motherfudger and we were the only ones in the theater.

First movie I ever saw in a theater that I remember was Rocky at the American Theater in Pittston. I also remember seeing a magic show there, proabaly not a whole lot of people out there have been to the American Theater when it was still operating as a theater. If I recall by the early 80's it was closed.

That was more than Scranton. I think that was like precursor to the convenient store, If I recall correctly the old Turkey Hill in Plymouth was a Louden Hill.

There was a Hills in Wilkes-Barre Twp. too. That's a store from my childhood that I remember so that's why I included it.
