Well golly gee! Scranton makes yet ANOTHER "Best Places" list, and the Doomers are nowhere to be found eating their crow? Hmmmm...

I will never move from here. We have lived in NY, NJ and Florida. I love it here and find that NEPA is absolutely a wonderful place to live!!!!!!

I live just a bit away from Scranton (Lake Wallenpaupack.) - I really don't want to live anywhere else. I've lived here all my life. Some of my former classmates are my kids teachers...some of my former teachers are my kids teachers...lol....mostly a good thing. ha! This area like anything else has good and bad points...but I like it here. I get annoyed when newcomers come and make disparaging remarks about the area. I hate it when people who've always lived here make disparaging remarks about the area.

To them all I say: It's still a free country. Move to someplace that will make you happier.

It looks like the "outside world" is finally catching on to a good thing!
Affordable housing and beautiful scenery, as well as access to skiing, lakes and the presence of several Universities, make ALL of this area a real winner in my book!

Carbondale,Jerymn, Archbald,Jessup, and other parts of the upper Lackawanna Areas of PA. You don't know how much you miss a place until you move away. It is the best place in the world to leave. I mean everything is awesome. So many places to go and hang out with friends and family. I miss it so much will be home soon!! Very soon!!
