So they went from the acronym RIF.........Which we all know as reduction in force, to a new one....HCR. Head Count Reduction!
One of the biggest employers of Monroe County....if not the biggest.
One of the handful of swine flu vaccine makers........
I'm so glad I don't work there because a company that refers to its workers in the terms of HCR......Head Count Reduction is perhaps treating their workers as a number.........or..........a head count.
Nothing like....We are laying off people we care deeply about, for the challenges ahead.
I know in the past year we had people ask us on city-data where to live in order to be by their workplace, Sanofi.
Tobyhanna Army Depot is also cutting 161 workers.
Gosh, to hear this at holiday time is quite sad. It surely will affect our local areas and businesses.
The worst part is the loss of jobs to some very hard working people, with families to care for.
HCR~ is so impersonal, for families loosing jobs.
