Merry Christmas everyone! I've looked thu a few threads and havn't found what I am looking for so.......... does anyone have any info on the north scranton area, in particular the area bordered by I81 on the north, north Main on the east and hwy 11 on the west? In particular is it a safe neighborhood and is it suffering a lot of "flight" from that area for any particular reason? Zillow has the people there as lower income singles, mature famlies with grown children ( thats us) and seniors over 65.

I live near the North Scranton Little league field on Theadore...I purchased my home in Sept 09. We could not be more please with our street, neighbors and neighborhood. The rear of my home has a easement between my neighborhood which was established in the 1920's-1940s and the new homes of the Tripp Park development.

I rented a home on Church in N. Scranton and was happy with everything except the female landlord...but that is another story. My son attends Neil ARmstrong and loves it and is a almost a straight A student.

Hope it helps and Merry Christmas...

no april 12 1974 and june 14 1975. No the one we are going to look at is not at all near the dead end closer to brick ave i think it is. I google street viewed the street and a cple of close streets also, seems fine, properties well maintained, sidewalks a bit on the weak side but otherwise good. But after 37 yrs of marraige living in three states and done the keeping up with the jonse's, small, affordable and an early pd off 15 yr note sounds good to us. Plus (?) sister in law lives in Falls, close enough to nyc wife wants to go see the Macy's Thanksgiving parade in person next yr, and a days drive to New England where I grew up. JUst need to find a good neighborhood coffee shop now and I'll be happy as a hog in warm mud lol
