Lounge targets the smoking bond | The Times Leader, Wilkes-Barre, PA (http://www.timesleader.com/news/Lounge_targets_the_smoking_bond_12-30-2009.html - broken link)

I think is very cool. Friends in NJ have one near their home and they love it.

LOL as if WB doesn't have enough smokey bars!! But really, I think it's cool too. I've been to hookah bars before in NJ, and it's usually a comfy, cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Like a cafe...but with cherry flavored smoke!

Cool. Wilkes-Barre is "out-trendying" Scranton now.

Did you see some of the idiotic comments underneath the article? Seriously some people make me question basic intelligence in this valley.

It's a-ok to open a million and one drinking bars and even cigar bars...but heavens not a smoking lounge.

You've just started to question the intelligence of people in the valley now? Wow! I had already done that years ago. I gave up all hope when I saw more people calling the Shenandoah teens "heroes" than those condemning their act.

No, I've noted it before. How could you not? This is just the latest example.

There's a BIG difference between Shenandoah and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Schuylkill County is as backwards as the most remote parts of West Virginia.

There's also a big difference between someone criticizing a smoking lounge and cheering on someone getting beaten to death. And honestly, criticizing smoking is keeping up with the times.

Maybe, maybe not...I think these hookah lounges were trendy maybe 10 years ago.

I don't smoke, but I welcome it and wish it luck. I also agree with Magritte, how can you criticize a hookah lounge, but not criticize the opening of all these bars that have been opening. I also think it's neat that Wilkes-Barre (which is usually 20 yrs behind the times) will be the home to the first one in the region. It's nice being first at something instead of last like we usually are. I welcome it and wish it luck.
