True. It also helps to do some planning too. Many people have learned to shop en route to/from work, church, school, bar, or shooting range (or various combinations thereof ).

If you want city convenience...it is best to live there. It won't happen in the hinterlands of NEPA for many generations.

I like Hemlock for all it has to offer. Yes the rules are high and sometimes extreme, but it keeps the community at a high standard. So sometimes you need to deal with extra rules for an ultimately better place to live. I also think for basic shopping, there is plenty close enough to Hemlock. For more in depth shopping like specific clothes and such, I would travel regardless of where I lived. To me 20 minutes or 40 minutes is the same once you are in the car.

Default Current thoughts on Hemlock Farms?

Hi there. Its been a couple of years since the last post on this thread, so i wondered if folks could tell me their current thoughts & experiences living/owning at Hemlock Farms? I believe there are approx 275 homes for sale out of the 3700-or so total in the community. Is there a current reason for so many sales? I also wondered about the tap water quality...Has frackibg affected water quality, or are there any fears of contamination from fracking? Also, do folks typically see a good profilt when selling within the community, esprcially if a house has been updated nicely, or has it been quite flat ovet the past 8 years due to the economy? And, just wondered, is it safe to assume it is 99% families or couples there, and that single folks are not typical, so a single person might feel out of place? All feedback would be super appreciated as im considering moving up there, but need helpful input from those with experience within the community. Many thanks in advance!
