Sounds like a good time this summer for a trip to Ricketts Glen and Knoebel's Grove!

Oh, I don't fly so that's not a problem for me. If I can't drive - I don't go. However, I've seen flights skyrocket because I book them for others as part of my job. And to add insult to injury, you'll also be charge $20 or more for each piece of luggage you bring! Forget about getting a soda or a snack too. More money, less service.

I've always wanted to hike Ricketts Glen. Photos posted by other users of the forum made me really really want to get here. I tried a long while back to set up a meet and greet hike, but that went no where.

OK...I grew up in the 70's and I never got the memo that it was over....just figured out what a PITA was. All on my own..I might add!

alleycat....Ricketts Glenn is Awesome!!! You would love it! Waterfalls trails! They also have cabins but they are hard to book...

As far as cheap vacations...if you can wait until the last minute, cruise deals are really cheap when booked la week or tow in advance. I piad $500 per person about 4 years ago. Not bad for an everything included vacation. (except alcohol!)

Like you ...alleycat...I'm happy with a day trip too. Too much effort and money to go away for a week. And the longer I live in Pa...the more I realize I live in Paradise and I'm usually anxious to get back home to a more relaxed atmosphere, WAY cheaper prices and less crowds.

PS... I guess that's why your screen name is "I Love PA" and not "I Love NY".

Speaking of vacations we are going to Delaware again, but this time to a new place.
Delaware use to be a cheaper stay then say Wildwood.......Now they are both the same.
I am always heading to an ocean in the summer........it must be the gravity pull.

Ahh...Now this is nice!

Hi all, just got home from shopping and I am exhausted. I just read the last few posts and I am glad that it is a nice forum again and nobody is being rude or name calling.

Just have to say that tobusy is correct and I would personally like to thank her for taking notice of the rude people!!!

Tobusytoday, congrats on your son graduating!
