The Scranton Library.

I was always impressed by the Children's Library. Didn't spend much time in the grown up library as I just brought my kids there for the puppet shows and other programs on a semi regular basis. At that time we had no cable TV or high speed internet. I was able to borrow tons of great kids movies for them, and I'd usually head over to the regular library for a few minutes to get some movies for hubby and me.

Well, the water park at Sno Mountain is supposed to be fully operational this year. You have the obvious ones like Steamtown, the trolley museum, the coal mine tour and museum. McDade Park is actually a really nice park, probably has the nicest playground in the area...its a much better park than Nay Aug, and McDade hasn't cost the taxpayers nearly as much as the Nay Aug money pit.

Is the movie theater open again across from Steamtown?
I also want to check out a book store someone told me about - Anthology.

You could also take a Historical Walking Tour of Downtown Scranton. The tour is run by the Lackawanna Historical Society every Saturday until Fall. Also, if you are a fan of The Office, there is the biweekly Saturday "The Office Fan Tour". The tour is a bit pricey but you get lunch at Coopers.

Agreed. Three's a lot more to do:

Diamond City - Luzerne County's free entertainment weekly.
Electric City/Diamond City - Northeast PA's free entertainment weekly.
The Weekender, Northeast PA

And thetimes-tribune.com | The Times-Tribune on Wednesdays or Thursdays, they post a short video called 'The Weekend Show', (see Arts & Living section), where someone goes over the highlights of the upcoming weekend arts and entertainment events. Here's the one for this past weekend.

Way more that the food court at the Steamtown Mall, all you have to do is look.

The Lackawanna Coal Mine tour is supposed to be very interesting (haven't tried it yet) but there are some videos of it on youtube
I do like Steamtown a lot and have been there a few times, the trolley museum is great, and the ride to Moosic is a throwback to the past, especially going through the nearly mile-long tunnel under Scranton.
