Got a job in Reston (Ex. 11 on 267) and currently commuting Gaithersburg, MD. It sucks and it takes about 45 minutes to get there in the morning (not bad) and an hour and a half to get home in the dead middle of rush hour (awful).

I want to move to Arlington so that I can be closer to DC and not have to put up with 495 on my way to work. What's the outward commute from 66W to 267 like in the morning? What about coming home? Does traffic get really bad on 66 eastward toward Arlington in evening rush hour? Would it take me over an hour?

I live in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington and have numerous clients out in the Dulles Corridor..In the mornings it usually takes me about 35-40 minutes to get to Reston (that is leaving at around 8 am) and the evenings (leaving at around 530) are 45-50 minutes. Traffic does get rather slow between the 267 merge with 66 and Ballston but it will only take you an hour if the weather is bad or there is an accident.
