We have kids. She has a teen and I have 2 seven year olds and we each have husbands.

We'd like to eat somewhere fun and kind of trendy. My kids can hold it together for one lunch.

We're just visiting for the day -- she's visiting from CA and we just moved to VA.

Any fun things to do in Fredericksburg if we only have time for lunch and a couple of hours after that?

Not exactly sure what you are looking for, but this could be a good place to try....http://www.splitsvillelanes.com/

It's a new bowling alley with a full menu of quality foods you wouldn't expect at a bowling alley. I've never been, but it looks like you could enjoy yourself there and have fun.

Also, theres plenty of nice restaurants in old town Fredericksburg. And you can go walk around afterwards. Hope I could help.
