I see CNN has now posted yet another list. This time we're on the list of top ten Recession Proof cities. Before we congratulate ourselves, check the rest of the list. Little Rock, Arkansas, is on there too, LOL.

I'm pretty familiar with Little Rock. It's a nice town but I wouldn't recommend moving there to escape the recession, especially since Weyerhauser left. The only reason it's "recession proof" is that there were no jobs and no money there before the recession hit, so things didn't change all that much. I hope nobody is using these silly lists to decide where to move, they're misleading.
